Norwood Challenger Sports
Serving a large swath of the southern Metro Boston Region, Norwood Challenger Sports was created in the 1990s by parents of children with special needs to offer recreational opportunities to youth and adults with a wide variety of physical, emotional and intellectual challenges.
Basketball
Norwood Challenger Sports offers drop-in basketball at the Coakley Middle School at 1315 Washington Street in Norwood.
Friday nights from January thru mid-March.
7-8 PM for younger, less experienced players.
8-9 PM for older, more experienced players.
Baseball
Norwood Challenger Sports, with support from Norwood Little League and Foxborough Youth Baseball, offers 8 weeks of baseball/softball in May and June.
No experience is required, and like all our activities, the main goal is to have fun.
Flag Football
Norwood Challenger Sports offers a 6 week Flag Football program at Norwood High School from September through October. Dates to be announced.
5:30 - 7:00 PM
The sun sets earlier each week, so our sessions will get shorter.
TOPS Soccer
2024 season registration is now open.
Challenger is pleased to partner with Norwood Youth Soccer to offer TOPS Challenger soccer in Norwood.
Cost for the season is $22 which covers the cost of affiliation with Mass Youth Soccer in order to provide us with insurance.
Special Events
Periodically Norwood Challenger Sports invites players and families to join us for a special event.
Past events include semi-formal dances, whale watches, movies, trips to the circus and Edaville Railroad and ice skating at a local rink.
